Burger
Here is another poem from Nigel's literacy group. This is a rhyming couplet poem about burgers.
Meat pattie juicy in a bun,
eating it up is a lot of fun,
Biting into it can be quite a mess,
cheese, bacon and tomato is the best,
Once I’m finished I don’t want more,
Because my tummy is kind of sore.

The Piwakawaka
Nigel's Literacy group shared some ideas and came up with this Diamante poem about the Piwakawaka.
Piwakawaka
fluffy, tiny
flitter, flutter, swerve
brown feathers, black tail
Swooping, catching prey
pretty, wonderful
