Burger

Here is another poem from Nigel's literacy group. This is a rhyming couplet poem about burgers.

Meat pattie juicy in a bun,

eating it up is a lot of fun,

Biting into it can be quite a mess,

cheese, bacon and tomato is the best,

Once I’m finished I don’t want more,

Because my tummy is kind of sore.

    I enjoyed how you said 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 blast off
Did you think about making it a bit longer?
Next time you could maybe put another rocket in?
When did you do it? How did you do it

  9. Hi Rawhiti School! I really like the poem you have wrote! I really like you talking about burgers! I also like burgers! I don't like the vegetables in the burgers even though they are healthy for you. This part gave me a memory of when I ate 2 burgers and I got so full that I couldn't even walk properly! To improve, you could add some detail about why you like burgers and what your favourite part is in the burger. Why do you like burgers? I will see you next time! Goodbye!

  10. Hi Tawhirimatea! Wow you knocked my socks off the poem is amazing your rhymes are hilarious and I liked how you said funny things and described your burger at the same time. You brought me back when I went to Mcdonalds and bought a Big Mac. Great work but if you could add more information about your poem like did you do it by yourself? Did this take along time? From Sahil:)

I liked the way you said what the burger taste and looks like!
You brought me back to when I have my very first burger it was so yum and juicy and messy! Next time you can put in what you think the best part is!
How do you make this and how much of your class likes it?

    Kind regards Paige B.
