Riley making a difference!

Everyday since school has been back, Riley spends 20 minutes after school picking up rubbish to help keep the school clean. His mum is super proud of him. Some days his friend Mason will help.

Tic Tac Toe Basketball

For Monday Mashup, Urmi's group learned a new game called Tic Tac Toe basketball. You had to play against another team to do was score a basket. Then you could add a bib into the Tic Tac Toe grid. The first team to get three bibs in a row won. It is lots of fun and you practice your dribbling skills and shooting skills.

Have you ever played this game before?

Tawhirimatea and Tangaroa's Cooking Sessions

Over the last two weeks the Garden to Table groups in Tawhirimatea and Tangaroa have been getting together and cooking some delightful treats. Last week we made Cheesy Spinach Macaroni balls using spinach from the garden. Everyone thought they were fantastic.

This week we made Peach Crumble using the rest of the stewed peaches we had frozen from earlier in the year from our peach trees in the garden. We also decided to bake some bananas with sultanas and brown sugar, we used the bananas we had left over from fruit in schools. A BIG thank you to one of our wonderful teacher aides, Ali, for helping out and keeping our cooks focused.
