Today Georgia from Rawhiti Community Sport returned to start Kiwisport lessons. Nigel's group was the first to go and they had a great time. We did lots of shuttle runs that involved hurdles, star jumps and running backwards. Next week it's Urmi's groups turn to go.

Week 7 Garden Update
This week we are finishing off making more planter boxes as well as creating a space for the 500 native tree seedlings that we are going to look after as part of our association with Eco-Action Nursery Trust. David from Eco Action will be coming in the next week or so to help us set up our nursery. A big thank you to Cadin, Jake, Mason and Lawrence for clearing the space for the seedlings.
Check out the Eco-Action Nursery website for more details on what they do.

Garden Update
Over the last 2 weeks students from Tawhirimatea and Tangaroa have been working hard planting, weeding, making planter boxes and even eating Pak Choy and Radishes. Our garden is starting to look lovely again and a special thanks to Riley, Mason, Cadin and Jake for all of their hard work.
This week's Monday Mashup
The rain made us have to rethink our Student-Led Monday Mashup. Tyson and Baylee decided to run their fitness circuit in the hall, and Toby and Jakob decided to run some games instead of their scavenger hunt. We also were not allowed to cook so had to rethink some of those ideas too!
The children all displayed great skills in Resilience so that they could be Successful.

Do you have any ideas of activities we could do for Monday mashup?
A Wee Visitor
On Friday night, we had a wee visitor to our garden. He was a little baby hedgehog. My dog Orly thought it would be great fun to roll him around so we had to rescue him and put him out of harm's way.
Hedgehogs can carry bugs so it is really important not to pick them up unless they are in danger. Always wash your hands after.
Have you ever had a hedgehog in your garden?
What do they eat?
